La Libélula Cooperative's guest artist, Ari de la Mora, guided us through a transformative artistic journey that brought together Latin American newcomer youth in Vancouver for a series of community-engaged art workshops.
Throughout the sessions, participants collaborated, shared their stories, and explored their cultural heritage through a range of creative expressions. These collective expressions were ultimately brought together in the creation of a collaborative mural.
The goal of this project was to collaboratively design a vibrant mural that captures the essence of the youth’s journeys, struggles, aspirations, and triumphs. The final piece stands as a testament to the strength, resilience, and unity of Vancouver’s Latin American immigrant community.
